WESTVILLE is a product of my upbringing in the little town of Lowell, combined with a fascination of the unseen and strange. A 90s small town kid who grew with X-Files, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and Goosebumps.
Mesh that in with a life lived, scars earned, and a continued diet of new media like Alan Wake and Stranger Things, and I found myself cooking up a story I believed in. Crafting a town and a world that could be or could have been, some other time and similar place.
I tend to think big picture, and so when my good friend Cody Knott threw this song 'Root Canal' into this spectrometer video into a social teaser for Westville, I latched onto it as the perfect opening title sequence music, if and when WESTVILLE gets adapted for screen someday.
Filmed right here in my hometown of Lowell, MI.
It's a wild dream... but in Westville, things are always more than what they seem...
