“If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”
D.C.B. Research Excerpt: Dr. Gregory Heiser, 'The Anti-Zoetic Hypothesis'
Our continued study Red (classified as Resonant Entity-740) shows that its frequency within the Seethe suggests an escalating divergence from its original function as an energy form dependent on human emotionality. The Red is no longer merely fueled by human fear, guilt, and anger; it is evolving toward an active hostility toward humanity itself. This development is what I have termed the Anti-Zoetic Shift—a phase in which the Red, once a parasitic force sustained by human suffering, has begun to take an adversarial role, seeking not just sustenance but transformation.
The mechanics behind this shift appear to be rooted in morphic resonance—the principle that shared belief structures and repeated patterns of thought shape reality at both metaphysical and material levels. Over generations, humanity’s most deep-seated fears—of monsters, of cursed bloodlines, of malevolent unseen forces—have given form and structure to the Red. It does not merely reflect human anxieties; it now actively reinforces them, manipulating reality to fit the horrors that exist in our collective subconscious. By amplifying these fears, it seeks to reshape the human condition itself, trapping us in an increasingly self-reinforcing cycle of terror and despair.
This is no mere parasitism. The Red is exhibiting behavior akin to an autoimmune disorder on a metaphysical scale—it has turned against its own host species. Through the manipulation of belief systems, it is effectively rewriting humanity’s perception of itself, distorting cultural mythologies into self-fulfilling prophecies. The legends of skinwalkers, wendigos, and vengeful spirits have always had commonalities—tales of transformation, loss of identity, the horror of becoming something else. If the Red’s resonance continues along this trajectory, we must consider the grim possibility that it is not merely feeding on our fears. It is trying to make them real.
We must ask: If fear and hatred birth the Red, then what is its ultimate goal now that it has begun to hate us in return?
This also sheds new light on the phrase that some who’ve experienced prolonged exposure to RE-740 repeat in perpetual fits of sleep talk and waking nightmares:
“You see Red, the Red sees you.”
Nietzsche may not have been writing in literary metaphor as he likely thought.
Or perhaps… even he knew.
